Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated 3rd or 4th Year Carpenter Apprentice to join our construction team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop advanced carpentry skills while working on diverse projects, including residential, commercial, and restoration work. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in construction practices and be eager to expand their expertise in various trades related to carpentry and building systems.
Duties
- Assist in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate project execution.
- Perform concrete forming, rebar installation, and masonry tasks as required on-site.
- Install cabinets, flooring, tile, siding, and perform roofing and siding work with precision.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, CNC equipment, and other machinery safely and effectively.
- Contribute to restoration projects by performing demolition, surface preparation, and finishing tasks such as painting and caulking.
- Support plumbing and electrical installations under supervision, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Assist in construction estimating activities by measuring materials and reviewing project plans.
- Participate in heavy lifting, material handling, assembly work, and general carpentry duties including woodworking and framing.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding construction schematics.
- Experience with concrete forming, masonry, rebar installation, roofing, siding, and tile laying.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and other construction equipment.
- Knowledge of carpentry techniques including cabinet installation, flooring installation, woodworking, and assembly.
- Familiarity with construction painting, caulking, siding installation, and general handyman skills.
- Ability to interpret schematics for electrical or plumbing systems is a plus.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy lifting, working at heights, and operating machinery.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately. Pay: $22.00-$40.00 per hour
