Pediatric Occupational Therapist (Contract) – GTA
Pay: $100–$115 per hour
Job Type: Part-Time Contract
Contract Length: 12 months (with potential for ongoing work)
Locations: Scarborough clinic with flexible home/community visits across Markham, Stouffville, Vaughan, Toronto, and Durham Region. Caseloads are matched to your preferred geographic area to minimize travel.
Pediatric OT Opportunity – Flexible Caseload, High Autonomy, Strong Referral Flow
Discovering Abilities is a growing pediatric occupational therapy practice serving children and youth (0–18 years) across the GTA. We provide clinic, home, school, and community-based services focused on meaningful, functional outcomes for children and families.
We are seeking experienced Pediatric Occupational Therapists who value flexibility, autonomy, and high-quality clinical practice in a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide OT assessments, treatment, and consultation for children and youth
- Develop individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans
- Support participation in self-care, school, play, and community activities
- Collaborate with families, educators, and community professionals
- Provide caregiver education and functional strategies
- Complete timely documentation and reports
- Use evidence-based and neuro-affirming approaches (including autism support)
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (in good standing)
- Professional liability insurance
- Experience working with children and youth (0–18 years)
- Experience with autism spectrum disorder and neurodevelopmental needs
- Strong skills in sensory processing, self-regulation, fine/gross motor development
- Neuro-affirming, strengths-based, and evidence-based practice approach
- Handwriting Without Tears experience (asset)
- ADP authorization (asset)
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle
- Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Standard First Aid & CPR-C (or willingness to obtain/maintain)
- Willingness to travel within the GTA
Schedule
- Flexible part-time contract role
- Evening and/or weekend availability required
- Hybrid administrative work (remote documentation allowed)
