Job Summary
As an Animal Care Attendant, you will play an important role in supporting the care and well-being of our patients in a fast-paced 24/7 emergency veterinary clinic. While maintaining a clean and organized hospital environment is essential, this role goes far beyond cleaning and restraint. Our Animal Care Attendants are actively involved in patient comfort and support throughout their stay in the hospital.

We are currently hiring three experienced Animal Care Attendants for the following positions:
- One full-time maternity leave coverage position with high potential for continued employment
- Two permanent part-time positions with growth potential:
- One daytime position
- One overnight position
All positions involve a variety of shifts ranging from 8–12 hours. As we are a 24/7 emergency facility, weekend and holiday availability is required as part of the rotation schedule.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for hospitalized animals, including feeding, watering, cleaning, and comfort care
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the clinic
- Safely handle and restrain animals for examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Support patients during their hospital stay to help reduce stress and improve comfort
- Assist veterinary staff as needed in patient care and clinic operations
- Follow established protocols for animal care, sanitation, and workplace safety
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting is considered an asset
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Comfortable handling dogs and cats of varying sizes and temperaments
- Willingness to learn and follow clinic protocols and procedures
