Overview
Floorcraft Design Inc. is a well-established commercial flooring contractor specializing in the supply and installation of flooring for commercial construction projects throughout the GTA and Southern Ontario.
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and hands-on individual to join our team as a Construction Operations & Warehouse Assistant. This is a varied position supporting our warehouse, delivery operations, and construction sites. The successful candidate will be someone who takes pride in keeping things organized, is comfortable with physical work, and can be relied upon to get the job done safely and efficiently.
What You'll Be Doing
Deliveries & Material Handling
- Deliver flooring materials, tools, equipment, and supplies to commercial construction sites throughout the GTA
- Pick up materials, tools, and equipment from suppliers and job sites
- Handle both smaller deliveries and larger shipments of flooring materials
- Load, secure, transport, and unload materials safely
- Move and stage materials on construction sites as required
- Ensure materials and equipment are delivered to the correct location and crew
- Assist with loading and unloading company vehicles
Warehouse Organization & Maintenance
- Receive and organize incoming shipments of flooring materials
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse
- Organize flooring materials, tools, equipment, and supplies
- Prepare materials and equipment for upcoming projects
- Assist with general warehouse maintenance and upkeep
- Load and unload deliveries
- Dispose of garbage and unwanted materials
- Keep tools and equipment clean, organized, and in good condition
General Responsibilities
- Support the team with various day-to-day tasks as required
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment
- Follow all company and construction-site safety procedures
- Work independently when completing deliveries, pickups, and warehouse tasks
- Represent Floorcraft professionally when interacting with suppliers, general contractors, and other trades
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in construction, warehousing, deliveries, or general labour is an asset
- Valid G driver's licence and reliable driving record
- Comfortable driving a company vehicle to various locations throughout the GTA
- Comfortable lifting and moving heavy materials and equipment
- Physically capable of standing, walking, lifting, carrying, bending, and working for extended periods
- Comfortable working in an active construction environment, both indoors and outdoors
- Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts is an asset
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Able to follow instructions and complete tasks independently
- Organized and takes pride in maintaining a clean work environment
- Safety-conscious
- Good communication skills and ability to work well with a team
- Flooring or construction experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate
Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
