THE JOB:
This position can be based out of either Calgary or Waterloo Cinemas Support Centres.
Out of Theatre Delivery
- Act as the main contact for third-party delivery programs and integrators, facilitating regular meetings with external partners to address opportunities.
- Prepare and distribute the monthly delivery tracker report, collaborating with Operations and Theatres to create action plans for outliers.
- Regularly review performance numbers to identify and troubleshoot operating issues and successes, conducting audits of operating hours and items not available for sale.
- Perform weekly platform audits to ensure accuracy, updated content, prices, promotions, and images as directed by the Senior Director ITS.
- Oversee delivery equipment performance and maintenance, working with IT to implement and maintain third-party delivery integration with Vista, and supporting with troubleshooting, and repairs as needed.
- Execute and implement promotions on each platform, including reporting and communicating KPIs, updating marketing materials, and supporting local theatre social engagement and identifying growth opportunities.
Arcade & Vending
- Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for external arcade and vending partners and facilitate regular meetings with external arcade and vending partners to address opportunities and drive business forward.
- Prepare and publish monthly sales reports for arcades and vending, including downtime reports.
- Regularly review numbers to identify operating issues and successes, sharing insights and troubleshooting as needed.
- Monitor and ensure game replacement and rotation as per contract.
- Update marketing materials for print, web, and social media and monitor and support local theatre social engagement.
- Assisting with the expansion of arcade facilities, and developing new programs to grow the category, including special events and integration into the Birthday Program and Extras.
- Managing an accurate up-to-date list of arcade units by site, monitoring all additions or removals, replacement and rotation and space allocated to vending units by theatre (floorplans).
- Create and maintain an Arcade Manual and Vending Manual on SharePoint.
In-Theatre Sales Administration
- Develop and execute annual limited time offer programs as well as new arcade and vending programs, support marketing and social engagement.
- Assist theatres with inventory management, deliveries, and licensing processes; support license renewals and roll-out of new concepts.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support, including document management, reconciliations, marketing support, and training as required.
- Write and distribute internal communications to ensure clear and effective information flow from the ITS Team to all Theatre Teams.
- Act as a liaison with the marketing team, facilitating collaboration and ensuring alignment on projects and initiatives.
- Supporting with various administrative functions of the In-Theatre Sales Team.

- 2 years of experience in a Theatre Manager role, Food Service Manager role or similar experience
- Post secondary education in Hospitality, Business or a relatable field will be considered an asset
- Experience in merchandising and sales will be considered an asset
- Understanding of and responsibility for budgets, targets & results
- Experience in managing KPI reporting and analytics
- Successful track record in managing/leading within the theatre environment
- Comfortable in providing/presenting recommendations/advice in areas of expertise
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint
- Business acumen and profit awareness
- Alcohol Certifications are required.
- Food Safety Certified required.
