Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and vans, to deliver freight to various locations.
- Load and unload cargo using equipment such as forklifts and heavy machinery when necessary.
- Verify delivery orders, check freight for damages, and ensure accurate documentation of shipments.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while maintaining a clean driving record.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic automotive repairs or report maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle condition.
Experience
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required; CDL certification is a plus.
