About the Opportunity
The Section Grower is responsible for the day-to-day crop health and production quality within an assigned section of the greenhouse. You will lead a small growing team, make independent decisions on watering, fertilization, and pest management programs, and serve as the primary point of accountability for your section’s output. This role is well-suited to an experienced grower ready to take ownership of results and mentor others.
What You’ll Do
Crop Production & Quality

Ensure all aspects of crop health within your assigned greenhouse section, including watering, fertilizing, and scheduling

Monitor and adjust greenhouse climate — temperature, humidity, CO₂, and light levels — to optimize plant performance

Develop and execute integrated pest management (IPM) programs, including scouting and targeted chemical applications

Maintain accurate crop records and flag issues to the Head Grower as needed
Facility & Systems

Ensure greenhouse equipment, irrigation systems, and growing infrastructure within your section are clean, calibrated, and well-maintained

Identify and report maintenance needs proactively to reduce downtime
Team Leadership

Lead, support, and mentor a team of 2–4 assistant growers and greenhouse workers

Communicate daily priorities and assign tasks clearly to your team

Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
What You Bring

High School Diploma (required)
-
Relevant industry experience preferred
-
Experience with greenhouse systems, equipment, or tools as required

Teamwork and good communication skills
-
Previous greenhouse experience is considered an asset

Knowledge of plant care
-
Experience in wholesale ornamental or vegetable production is considered an asset
