Lead Setup Machinist/Programmer (Mazak/Fanuc)

We are looking for seasoned CNC programmers with a deep expertise in G-code and Mazatrol to lead our machining operations. This role demands a strong leader who can set up equipment and guide a team of operators and machinists through multiple programs per day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead setup and programming for Mazak Lathes, Mills, and Fanuc Lathes.
- Supervise a team of up to 10 operators, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality output.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager to meet production goals and maintain high standards.
- Expertly program and set up Mazak/Fanuc CNCs, with a strong emphasis on Mazatrol.
- Apply specialized knowledge in programming tubular products, fittings, subs, sleeves, drilling tools, etc.
- Execute complex setups including turning, milling, live tooling, sub spindles, and large boring bars.
- Train CNC Machinists/Operators to maintain production jobs.
- Develop and maintain setup documentation, tooling lists, and carbide replacement instructions.
- Build and customize fixtures as needed, using manual lathes/mills to produce jaws and fixtures.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of machines, tools, and workspaces.
- Perform first article inspections and maintain accurate inspection records.
- Communicate clearly with the Shift Supervisor regarding goals, tasks, and concerns.
- Prepare materials, machines, and work orders for production.

Experience Required:
- 10+ years of programming and setup experience with Mazak and Fanuc systems.
- Strong knowledge of manual machining (an asset).
- Red Seal Journeyman Certificate (an asset).
