Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Building Maintenance Worker to ensure the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our facilities. This role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing repairs across various building systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance knowledge, along with leadership qualities to oversee maintenance activities effectively. Previous supervisory experience and familiarity with manufacturing environments are highly desirable. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and other electrical or mechanical systems
- Operate and maintain CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for work orders and documentation
- Lead maintenance projects, supervise team members, and coordinate tasks to ensure timely completion
- Utilize welding skills for repairs requiring metal fabrication or structural adjustments
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and facility diagrams to diagnose problems effectively
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and facility protocols during all maintenance activities
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, parts inventory, and repair history
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related fields within manufacturing or industrial environments
- Supervising experience is preferred, demonstrating leadership capabilities in managing maintenance teams
- Strong mechanical knowledge with proficiency in electrical systems, schematics, PLCs, and welding techniques
- Familiarity with CMMS software for tracking work orders and maintenance history
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and facility operations is a plus
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective team coordination and documentation
- Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues efficiently
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

Pay: $40,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
