Class 1 Driver – (Full-Time)
Viking Landscaping Inc. is seeking an experienced and reliable Class 1 Driver to join our team for the landscaping season. This is a full-time position with consistent hours and the opportunity to work with a supportive and hardworking crew.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to and from job sites
- Comply with all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies
- Load and unload materials as required (end dump experience is considered an asset)
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members to coordinate deliveries
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage
Qualifications:
- Valid Class 1 Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Experience using an end-dump trailer
- Previous experience operating commercial vehicles (landscaping or construction experience is an asset)
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with basic truck maintenance is an asset
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting and manual labour when required
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
