We are seeking a customer-oriented and detail-focused Beauty Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the daily operations of the Health and Beauty section by ensuring products are well stocked, attractively displayed, and readily available for customers. You will assist with merchandising, promotional displays, seasonal product setups, and provide knowledgeable product recommendations to enhance the customer shopping experience. In addition, you will occasionally support the Grocery Department with merchandising and shelf replenishment as operational needs require.
Major Responsibilities:
- Maintain the Health and Beauty section by stocking, replenishing, rotating, and organizing merchandise to ensure shelves are clean, full, and visually appealing.
- Set up and maintain promotional displays, seasonal displays, and special merchandising initiatives according to company guidelines.
- Ensure product pricing, signage, and shelf labels are accurate and up to date.
- Monitor inventory levels, identify out-of-stock items, and recommend replenishment orders when necessary.
- Assist customers by answering product inquiries, recommending suitable health and beauty products, and providing excellent customer service.
- Stay informed of new products, market trends, and promotional activities to better assist customers.
- Ensure product security and proper handling of premium merchandise.
- Occasionally assist the Grocery Department with shelf stocking, merchandising, product rotation, and other daily operational tasks as assigned.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and display areas.
- Follow all company policies, health and safety requirements, and operational procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Grocery Manager or Store Management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous retail experience in a health and beauty, cosmetics, pharmacy, or grocery environment is preferred. Candidates with relevant customer service experience will also be considered.
- Passion for health and beauty products with a willingness to learn product knowledge.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent merchandising and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods.
- Conversational English is required; Mandarin and/or Cantonese is considered a strong asset.
- Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.
