We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Specialist to join our growing transportation and logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices and payments, and supporting month-end reporting activities and support managment with ad hoc requests.
Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Prepare and issue invoices to customers
- Reconcile bank statements, credit cards, and company accounts
- Monitor customer payments and follow up on outstanding balances
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reports
- Prepare monthly financial reports and support year-end audits
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations
- Work closely with operations and dispatch teams regarding billing and freight documentation
- Assist with fuel tax reporting, carrier payments, and transportation-related accounting tasks
- Support budgeting and financial forecasting activities
Pay: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
