- Supervises and coordinates activities related to food preparation, kitchen and storage areas.
- Participates in menu planning and actively manages food production.
- Trains and works alongside cooks to ensure quality, speed, safety and health standards are consistently met
- Requisitions and apportions food items and utilizes food surpluses to control food costs.
- Experience in Indian cooking and culinary skills.
- Manage prep, work stations, expedite and call the line
- Inventory management
- Mange kitchen cleanliness and maintenance
- Two to three years’ experience in food production services in a commercial kitchen required.
- Must have a current certificate in food handling from local public health unit.
- The knowledge and understanding of the proper food handling and storage procedures.
- Self-directed and team-oriented, with proficient organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Love for Indian cuisine, seasonality and sorting of great ingredients
- Creativity and chance to collaborate on menu items
- Complete availability for different schedules
