Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Shift Leader/Key Holder to oversee daily store operations, ensure excellent customer service, and lead a dynamic retail team. This role is vital in maintaining store standards, managing staff, and supporting overall business growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid background in retail management. Bilingual skills and experience in sales management are highly valued to enhance customer engagement and team coordination.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily store activities, ensuring smooth operations during assigned shifts
- Assist in recruiting, training, and developing team members to meet performance standards
- Manage cash handling, POS transactions, and bookkeeping duties accurately
- Oversee merchandising, pricing strategies, and inventory purchasing to optimize sales
- Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing concerns promptly and professionally
- Coordinate marketing efforts and promotional activities to increase store visibility
- Supervise staff scheduling, delegating tasks effectively to meet operational needs
- Enforce store policies, health & safety regulations, and loss prevention measures
- Support store management with budgeting, sales analysis, and sales management initiatives
- Conduct interviews and participate in hiring processes for new team members
- Maintain organizational efficiency through time management and administrative oversight
Requirements
- Proven supervisory or team management experience in retail or similar environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and basic math skills
- Experience with merchandising, pricing strategies, marketing, and sales management
- Ability to handle customer inquiries with professionalism via phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Skilled in recruiting, training & development, and interviewing new employees
- Organizational skills with attention to detail in administrative tasks such as payroll and budgeting
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Knowledge of retail sales techniques, store management principles, and supervisory best practices
