We’re currently seeking a Law Clerk to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to build their career in personal injury law and gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced legal professionals.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and clerical support to lawyers and senior law clerks
- Open and organize client files, both physical and digital
- Draft basic correspondence and legal documents under supervision
- Request, follow up, and organize medical records, police reports, and other documentation
- Schedule client meetings, assessments, and examinations
- Maintain updated records in our legal management system
- Handle file intake, conflict checks, and initial client contact when necessary
- Support litigation files through various stages of pre-litigation and discovery
- Perform general office duties as required
Qualifications
- Law Clerk Diploma or equivalent legal education
- 1 – 3 years of experience in a law firm or legal setting (personal injury experience is an asset)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal practice management software
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
