Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the optimal operation and safety of our hotel facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance, electrical and mechanical systems, and leadership capabilities. This role involves overseeing maintenance activities, supervising team members, and ensuring that all equipment and infrastructure meet safety and quality standards. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems to ensure smooth hotel operations.
- Troubleshoot and repair various facility issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools.
- Supervise maintenance staff, providing guidance and leadership to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Manage maintenance schedules using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders and inventory.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation systems within the hotel facilities.
- Conduct welding, electrical repairs, and mechanical work as needed to maintain building integrity.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and hotel standards during all maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with other departments to address guest requests promptly while maintaining high levels of customer service.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for compliance purposes.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within the hospitality or manufacturing industry.
- Supervising experience is preferred, demonstrating leadership in managing maintenance teams.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical components, schematics, and manufacturing processes related to building operations.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CMMS software, welding techniques, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with facilities management best practices, safety protocols, and customer service principles.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals effectively in order to diagnose issues accurately.
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective team coordination and guest interactions. Pay: $16.40-$20.00 per hour
