This is a hybrid role located at dentalcorp's Toronto Support Centre and reporting into the Finance Manager you will be responsible for providing support on all areas within the finance department.
In this role, you will
Prepare month end accrual, prepaid and other JE
Prepare BS reconciliations, investigate and resolve reconciling items
Maintain amortization schedules for prepaids
Blackline maintenance of BS reconciliations
Manage corporate cost reporting and timely distribution of department P&Ls
Liaise with department leaders and perform cost analysis against budget, explain variances
Other monthly cost reporting (professional fees, marketing etc)
Post monthly rent JE and review of rent costs, maintained in Visual Lease
Prepare monthly tax fillings (GST/QST)
Ensure adherence to internal control processes, accounting policies (IFRS) and procedures
Work closely with auditors to support requests during quarterly and yearly external audit
Assist other team members during monthly, quarterly and year end close
ERP implementation and testing
Other ad hoc duties as assigned
What we're looking for
University Degree, BA in Accounting, Finance
Accounting designation is preferred/working towards CPA
Ideally 5+ years' experience in finance/accounting
Excellent understanding of accounting concepts, knowledge of IFRS is a plus.
Comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
A self-starter, highly positive can-do attitude in a rapidly changing environment
Experience working in NetSuite, Visual Lease is a plus.
Intermediate to advanced user of excel (pvot, formulas, graphs, v-lookups, XL cubed etc)
Detail-oriented with a high level of efficiency and accuracy.
Motivated to take on new challenges
Excellent communication skills and a "people person"
Bilingual in French would be an asset
