Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee and customer service, with experience in food and beverage preparation. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a positive experience for all customers. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks following established recipes and standards.
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using basic math skills.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, equipment, and dining space in compliance with food safety standards.
- Assist customers with menu selections and provide exceptional customer service.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
- Follow food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality of all products served.
- Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods.
- Support food preparation tasks as required, including light food handling and serving.
Experience
- Prior experience as a Barista or in the food industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Experience in serving, cashiering, or food preparation is advantageous.
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy are essential.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is desirable. Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
