Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Senior Associate Dean, the Academic Affairs Manager will support program operations for the graduate programs offered by the Holzschuh College of Business Administration and the College of Arts and Sciences.
Essential Duties:

Process applications for graduate Business and Arts & Science programs

Manage transcript evaluation process
-
Academic advising, including:
-
Support course registration for new and continuing students
-
Track the progress of students in programs and identify those who are not making satisfactory academic progress and require notification of academic probation.
- Determine the eligibility of students in the programs for graduation/participation in commencement.

Support program management by identifying course delivery needs
- Develop faculty communications, e.g. newsletter

Maintain up-to-date internal and external facing faculty lists

Support faculty recruitment as necessary

Assist Senior Associate Dean with academic and regulatory tasks

Required knowledge, skills and abilities:

Successful experience in administration in an academic setting

High degree of proficiency in written and spoken English
- Computer literate, including Microsoft Office, Google products, Gmail, etc., and ability to learn new computer software programs.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform all essential job functions accurately with minimal direct supervision.

Ability to display sound judgment to ensure timely processing and completion of assigned tasks.

Office management skills with the ability to work independently and accept responsibility.

Ergonomic Requirements:
The functions of the position are usually performed sitting but may require some amount of time standing. Some amount of stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, lifting, walking, carrying and other movements may be required. Tasks involving working on a computer keyboard, computer software applications, and calculator, involve the extensive wrist and hand movement. All individuals are required to be able to perform these movements without significant risk of injury to themselves or others or to otherwise demonstrate or explain how they can perform the essential functions listed above.
Qualification Standards:

Bachelor's degree required with education, training and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities; Master's degree preferred;

A minimum of four years of experience performing similar tasks is required;
- Prior work experience in an educational setting is preferred.

A valid Canadian driver's license is required that satisfies both University and insurance company underwriting rules and regulations for driving a motor vehicle. Must also be able to operate a motor vehicle in Canada.
