Title: Senior Financial Analyst

PURPOSE: As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will provide analytical support to empower business leaders to make timely and well-informed decisions. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the position is responsible for ensuring timely, accurate and insightful financial reporting including financial statement preparation and customer revenue and margin reporting, as well as providing financial analytical expertise to various functions and projects in support of key decision making.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Prepare daily and weekly customer volume, revenue, and contribution margin reporting, including variance analysis and commentary.
- Compile and analyze financial data to prepare accurate KPI dashboards and reporting to highlight key elements of business performance for decision support.
- Prepare and analyze comprehensive segmented monthly financial statements on a comparative basis.
- Perform various analyses applying financial/data models and accessing various data sources.
- Develop robust but flexible financial models for scenario analysis.
- Increasing productivity by developing automation in reporting and forecasting.
- Support Senior Pricing Analyst, including, but not limited to, scenario analysis for rate actions and CM and GM analysis for quoting.
- Review account reconciliations for completeness and accuracy monthly.
- Assist in the preparation of financial plans and budgets, managing iterations.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for cost optimization and process improvement.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- CFA or CPA or enrolled
- 2+ years of related experience.
- Strong analytical skills- including ability to rigorously work raw large data into structured data sets to generate relevant reporting and provide meaningful insight, summarizing and packaging for review with management.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills – conditional statements, dropdowns, indexing, slicers, power pivot, goal seek.
- Proficient with other Microsoft Office products - Outlook, Word, Power Point, Power BI (or other BI applications).
- Solid understanding of cost concepts and behaviour.
- Strong communication skills - verbal and written.

WORKPLACE AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a vehicle, the role is primarily “on site”
