Located in Okanagan Falls, BC, Unit Electrical Engineering (UEE) is a medium sized manufacturing plant, that designs and manufactures electrical power, distribution and control equipment for mining, renewable energy, oil & gas, commercial & industrial and transportation globally.
We are looking for a reliable, positive, safety-oriented Delivery Driver/Shipper Receiver to join our team. You will be responsible for all local pickups and deliveries of goods as well as assisting with Shipping & Receiving as required.

Summary of what you will do:
- Pick-up and delivery of goods for the company with our 5-ton flat deck.
- Plan & organize daily loads and trips, safely and efficiently.
- Maintain filing of delivery & pick-up documents.
- Oversee the safe, secure, and accurate loading and unloading of deliveries/pickups.
- Process all required paperwork and maintain adequate records for reporting and tracking.
- Manage inventory of delivery & shipping materials and supplies.
- Packing and shipping orders
- Assist with Shipping & Receiver as assigned or required.
- Report any discrepancies to immediate supervisor.
- Perform daily pre-trip inspections, ensure the truck is properly maintained, and report any deficiencies to your supervisor
- Other duties as assigned.
Your Skills & Experience
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Must have a valid class 5 drivers license and clean drivers abstract
- Minimum one year driver experience preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Must have forklift experience and be certified or willing to get certified
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and as a team player
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills to interact with supervisors, co-workers and customers
- Capable of lifting up to 50lbs on a daily basis
- Strong focus on workplace safety
- Knowledge of computers with the ability to learn in-house system.
