Volta Victoria, the morning breakfast operation of Cenote Restaurant & Lounge is looking for a day-time line cook. Volta is a high-quality, owner/chef operated small boutique restaurant offering vibrant and fresh Spanish influenced food and service. This opportunity allows for complete on-site training under a well renowned chef, and has the potential to also train front-house duties and skills. The successful applicant will have the following attributes and acumen:
1. Speed, multi-tasking, problem solving and attention to detail.
2. An ability to follow standards, procedures, and recipes as they have been codified, yet culinary knowledge and creativity will be appreciated and eventual assistance with menu development will be required.
3. An ability to analyze kitchen needs- daily, weekly, monthly, and to be organized and communicative as to these demands.
4. A want to work under a chef and owner, learning new skills and abilities, but also a want for self-government and direction.
5. To be physically fit, with proper standards for safety, protocol, hygiene, and integrity.
6. An ability to creatively problem solve, work with an even temper, and demonstrate leadership skills.
Starting Wage: $21- 25/hour based on experience.
