About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and organized Assistant Superintendent to join our residential property management team. This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys working with residents, managing day-to-day property operations, and providing excellent customer service. The successful candidate will assist with leasing activities, rent collection, vendor coordination, and administrative duties while supporting the overall operation of the property.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with leasing vacant units, including conducting showings and responding to rental inquiries.
- Process rental applications and support resident move-ins and move-outs.
- Collect rent payments and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Respond to resident inquiries via email, phone calls, and in person.
- Coordinate and communicate with vendors and contractors regarding repairs and maintenance.
- Monitor work performed by contractors to ensure quality and completion.
- Assist with scheduling maintenance and service requests.
- Maintain accurate tenant and property records.
- Support the Property Manager with administrative tasks and reporting.
- Conduct regular property inspections and report any concerns.
- Ensure common areas are maintained and presentable at all times.
- Assist with resident relations and conflict resolution when required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in residential property management, customer service, or a similar role preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Experience with property management software is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation considered an asset.
