I am seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various residential and commercial projects.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical codes, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure safety, efficiency, and quality in all electrical work. RES is a young company looking for an individual who can be a leader, take initiative, show good hustle, and who can prioritize customer service with strong interpersonal skills. I am looking for a dedicated right-hand (wo)man to take into the future of this company. Room to grow.
I offer a choose-your-own benefit plan. Hours are semi-flexible occasionally starting late, or finishing late/early. Happy to work with you on reasonable time-off requests with reasonable notice.
We service the entire South Island.
Renovations, Service Upgrades, Heat Pumps, Some new construction projects, Troubleshooting, EV chargers, Hot tubs.
Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in residential and commercial settings
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to perform electrical work efficiently
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Assist in renovation projects by upgrading or modifying existing systems
- Follow all safety protocols and electrical codes during all work
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to complete projects on time and within scope
- Maintain a clean and organized van
Requirements
- Valid Red Seal
- Proven experience
- Valid drivers license
- Good driving record - Must provide ICBC driver's abstract
- Must have your own hand tools and drills
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment
- Experience hooking up Heat Pumps is preferred
- Troubleshooting and critical thinking skills with attention to detail - Handyman experience is a plus for versatile problem-solving
- Ability to interpret electrical codes and standards accurately
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Dedication to customer service, safety, quality workmanship, and continuous learning.
Pay: From $35.00 per hour
