Equipment Designer — Casasanta Baking Solutions
Casasanta is a family-owned bakery equipment manufacturer, in business over 30 years, building industrial ovens, proofers, conveyors, and custom bakery equipment — all designed, fabricated, and assembled in-house. We're growing our Design and Engineering team and looking for our next Equipment Designer.
Responsibilities:
- Design commercial and industrial equipment using SolidWorks
- Create manufacturing and assembly drawings
- Produce sheet metal and machine component drawings
- Support conceptual design of large-scale equipment from specified parameters
- Prepare and check mechanical drawings for weldments, custom sheet metal, piping, conveyors, and electrical control assemblies
- Work closely with the shop floor to solve build issues and support production
- Partner with the Design Team and Manufacturing on prototyping and new equipment development
What you bring:
- College diploma or university degree, preferably in Engineering
- 3–5 years of experience using SolidWorks (and AutoCAD) in a manufacturing or OEM environment
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal design, laser, punching, and bending processes
- Proficiency in both metric and imperial dimensioning
- CSWP/CSWA certification an asset
- A practical, hands-on mindset — this is engineering, not drafting

Pay: $65,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
