Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently, and a passion for hospitality. Previous restaurant experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals with a positive attitude and excellent customer service skills. The Server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling transactions accurately, and upselling menu items to enhance the guest experience.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring proper entry and timely delivery
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash and credit card transactions with accuracy, including cashiering duties
- Upsell menu items to increase sales and enhance guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, utensils, and service areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support smooth operations
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Ensure guest needs are met promptly by responding to requests courteously and professionally
- Follow all sanitation, safety, and food handling protocols consistently
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest satisfaction
- Knowledge of food handling, safety regulations, and sanitation procedures
- Ability to perform basic math for billing and cash handling accurately
- Experience in upselling menu items to maximize sales opportunities
- Kitchen or food industry experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
Pay: $17.60-$18.60 per hour
