The opportunity
The Process Operations Analyst will work closely with the Manager and Senior Manager of Operations and Business Analytics to deliver change initiatives across CWB Trust Services from end to end. From assessing a business problem, to training employees on new processes, this position acts as the subject matter expert for our Custody system while providing expertise in our business processes to internal and external partners.
What you’ll be doing
Business Support & Stakeholder Relationships

Act as the knowledge expert in system applications, configurations, and business processes.
-
First line triage of system processing issues, custody system configuration and
-
Act as the liaison between business and technology staff, providing the business perspective in the analysis and design of solutions.
-
Build and maintain strong relationship with end users and internal stakeholders, delivering on promises and adding value.
-
Establish effective two-way communication mechanisms to get feedback, input on and validation of documents.
-
Ensuring line of business procedures/processes are updated to meet the requirements of CWB Trust Services Standards.
-
Co-ordinate system analysis and enhancements and issue resolutions throughout the year.
-
Demonstrate an expert level of understanding and working knowledge of programs, policies, and processes.
-
Treat all stakeholders with professionalism, dignity and respect and support an environment where people can contribute and excel.

Promote cooperation and commitment within the CWB Group towards the attainment of common goals enabling productive group interactions.

Ability to be agile and flexible to pick up new skills and knowledge while being collaborative to work with SMEs (Subject matter experts) and stakeholders achieving organizational objectives.

Project & Change Management

As directed by Manager and Senior Manager of OBA to provide support to ensure client and user impacts are validated and tracked with project owners throughout the project cycle.

Assist with training and development, manual development and communications when required.

Deliver projects and deliver results in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.

Outstanding organizational, interpersonal and communications skills with a strong aptitude for managing multiple work streams simultaneously.
Process Improvement
-
Ensuring line of business procedures/processes are updated to meet the requirements of CWB Trust Services Standards.

Ensuring new business processes, operational changes, and new initiatives within CWB Trust Services have been appropriately assessed and documented with in the area manuals.

Maintain a strong line of communication with Operations’ stakeholders to understand processes requirements by obtaining feedback, identifying common challenges or process gaps, and exploring potential solutions.

Remarkable problem solving and investigative skills to identify root cause and perform in-depth analysis to turn incomplete or ambiguous inputs into action plans.
Who we’re looking for & what you’ve done
Education
-
Some post-secondary education is required.
-
A degree in Business, Finance, Information Services, Science, or a related field is preferred.
Professional Experience
-
Minimum of 4 years of experience in a financial institution, financial technology company or a financial services firm with exposure to any two of the following areas: process improvement, data analysis, operations, system administration, or compliance.
-
Some of the highly desired experience includes (but not limited to):
-
Creating business requirements for system enhancement
-
Using techniques such as value-stream mapping (VSM), Business Process Mapping and Notation (BPMN), or 5 Whys to create workflow and document business processes.
-
Investigating and solving complex business problems
-
Performing process re-engineering or continues process improvements independently or in a group setting
-
Generate documentations for policies and procedures
-
Create documentation for data mapping and extraction based on business needs
-
Strong knowledge in productivity tools including Office, Microsoft 365 and Adobe product suite.
-
Working knowledge of FIS Global Plus Custody System would be preferred
-
Exposure to Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies, or robotic process automation or analytical tools is considered as an asset.
