Concrete Foreman
Location: Ottawa and surrounding area

ASCO is hiring a Concrete Foreman.
ASCO Concrete Structures is a privately-owned, family-oriented concrete formwork and finishing company serving the Greater Ottawa Area market. We specialize in building concrete structures of all kinds in the ICI and heavy civil construction sectors.
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Concrete Foreman to join our growing team.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience in concrete formwork along with strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
This role plays a key part in ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project drawings, specifications, schedules, and budgets, while enforcing company policies and Health & Safety requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Concrete Foreman is responsible for providing daily on-site leadership, supervision, and direction for
assigned construction projects, while also completing hands-on duties as required by the Company.
- Coordinate and oversee daily site activities;
- Supervise crews and subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently;
- Assist with planning, scheduling, and manpower coordination;
- Monitor productivity, quality, and compliance with drawings and building codes;
- Communicate project updates, delays, and site issues with the Project Team;
- Enforce ASCO Health & Safety policies and report injuries, incidents, delays, and unsafe conditions;
- Complete daily reports, timecards, and safety documentation;
- Assist with training and mentoring field personnel and apprentice.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in concrete formwork construction;
- Must be a member of Local 93 Carpenter’s Union and in good standing.
- Experience supervising crews on commercial, industrial, institutional concrete projects;
- Experience with Peri, Duraform, and conventional forming systems considered an asset;
- Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications;
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment and adapt to changing site conditions;
- Valid driver’s license.

Schedule:
- 8-hour shift:
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime after 40 hour as required.
Pay: $48.53 per hour
