Educational Assistant (EA)- 1.0 FTE
Aspengrove School is seeking a dedicated, empathetic, and collaborative Educational Assistant (EA) to join our Junior School team for the upcoming school year. Schedule of Employment:
School days: Monday to Friday 8:00am-4:00pm
School closures when Out of School Care is offered: 8:15am-4:15pm.
Compensation:
Range dependent on experience and education $48,000 to $55,000
EA Responsibilities
Work closely with the Principal and Vice Principal of the Junior School and the Primary Years Program teachers to support students in their classes
Academic, behavioral and emotional support of PYP students
Facilitate 1:1 and small group academic support to students
Organize materials and resources related to student needs
Playground supervision
Out Of School Care during conferences and Pro D days
Qualifications:
A valid EA certificate or Diploma
Legally allowed to work in Canada
Desired personal qualities
Flexible and adaptive with responsibilities and changes in the program
Comfortable working alone and as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Warm, caring, supportive attitude towards children
Preferred experience and qualifications
Experience in a school age setting
Understanding and experience with different learning needs
