Job Overview
We are looking for a friendly and energetic Seasonal Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Reno Liquidation Depot for our busy season. This is a temporary, full-time position offering 30 to 40 hours per week. In this role, you will help customers find the best deals on home renovation materials. Please note that working every Saturday is a mandatory requirement for this job. A great candidate loves helping people, works well during busy weekend rushes, and enjoys a fast-paced retail store.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
- Conduct product demonstrations and explain features to enhance customer understanding
- Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
- Operate POS systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and processing payments
- Maintain organized merchandise displays and ensure products are well-stocked and appealing
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, offering technical advice, and resolving concerns promptly
- Manage time effectively to ensure all duties are completed efficiently during shifts
- Uphold phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries
- Support merchandising efforts by organizing products and ensuring the sales floor is tidy and inviting
Requirements
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Strong communication skills in English
- Knowledge of technology products, sales techniques, and product demos is advantageous
- Ability to perform basic math for transactions and cash handling accurately
- Excellent organizational skills
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while managing individual responsibilities
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
- Flexibility to work during peak seasons, including weekends if necessary
- Mandatory shift every Saturday
