I am currently seeking a full-time grain farm worker to work with us on our farm and for the right individual employment long term is available.
Duties on the farm include (but are not limited to):
- Pre-season servicing of equipment to be used
- Operating and Maintenance of equipment being used (John Deere Sprayers, John Deere combines, grain cart, John Deere tractors, harrows, etc.)
- Hauling grain, water, fertilizer, etc., and maintenance of semi trucks and trailers being used (CLASS 1A LICENSE IS AN ASSET)
- Operation and maintenance of other equipment doing various farm tasks in the various seasons for the one who stays long term
- General yard/farm duties and other field work
Qualifications:
We are looking for individuals with a minimum of 1-2 years of grain farm experience and who are/will
- Honest/reliable,
- Hardworking,
- Mechanically inclined is considered an asset,
- Physically fit,
- Able to work long hours including weekends, holidays and extended daily hours when needed,
- Attentive to detail,
- Follow instructions
- Have their Class 5 or 1A Driver's License. Preference will be given to individuals with their Class 1A Driver's License.
Wages will be based on experience. Living accommodations are available if needed. Homecooked meals are provided when working long hours throughout the year.
