Clinical Report Editor - Central Business Office

Looking for a report reviewer with subject-area and quality assurance expertise to join our Central Business Office within Complex/Disability Services department of CBI’s Rehabilitation Division. The appropriate candidate will be expected to prepare an electronic ‘print-ready’, succinct and clear report by reviewing and editing various aspects of clinical rehab assessment and treatment reports. You receive the draft report, review it, and contact the clinical author(s) in case of any questions or clarification in a time-sensitive setting. Afterward, the signed report is sent to the customer and uploaded into our data base system (LinC).

The appropriate candidate requires the ability to review reports efficiently and effectively with the utmost accuracy and attention to detail. Top performers in this job are quick learners, highly organized, with excellent proficiency with the English language and grammar, as well as typing and computer skills.

Primary Duties:
Review reports for clarity, objectivity, spelling and grammar, format
Contacting the clinical authors to provide support in ensuring the report is clear and concise
Oversee and audit quality assurance for specific contracts within the complex/disability business segment on a national basis
Provide coaching and mentorship to ensure objectivity and adequate data to support clinical opinions and recommendations within our network
Detect and rectify any inconsistencies in reports and ensure reports provide solid rationale to support recommendations
Ensure all timelines are met and assist in the facilitation of adherence to such timelines
Follow up on any problems that are hindering the reporting process
Identify issues and/or concerns with clinicians’ quality of report content that may require additional training and communicating this to the Provincial Leaders of Disability and Complex Leaders

Requirements:
Related post secondary education required
Demonstrates proficiency in extensive writing/editing of written material
2 years experience in report editing in a health related field.
High attention to detail, accuracy of content and efficiency in review of written material
Proven ability in adaptability, problem solving and decision making skills
Must be self motivated to work independently and demonstrate high productivity as this is mainly a remote/work from home position
Must have excellent communication skills with regards to providing feedback and addressing concerns in a supportive, teamwork environment on the phone and via email communication
Proven critical and analytical thinking skills
Excellent proficiency in computer skills (Microsoft Office and previous data management experience is an asset)
Previous experience in a clinical rehabilitation or disability management setting is an asset
Demonstrates ability to work in fast paced environment, with multiple ongoing tasks and strict timelines
