Ace Casino Blackfoot is hiring Part-Time Security Guards to join our Security team.
This role is a good fit for someone who is reliable, professional, comfortable working with the public, and able to stay alert during routine work. Most of the work involves access control, customer service, observation, patrols, documentation, answering routine calls, and supporting a safe environment for patrons and staff.
The right candidate will be outgoing enough to speak with people confidently, reliable enough to handle repetitive duties professionally, and mature enough to take security responsibilities seriously even when the shift is calm.
This position is based at Ace Casino Blackfoot, located minutes from downtown Calgary.
What the Role Involves
Security Guards at Ace Casino Blackfoot are responsible for helping maintain a safe, professional, and welcoming environment. Duties may include:
- Greeting patrons and staff in a professional manner.
- Providing positive customer service in and around the casino.
- Answering questions and assisting patrons where appropriate.
- Monitoring entrances, exits, gaming areas, and other assigned posts.
- Conducting routine patrols inside and outside the property.
- Maintaining awareness of patron behaviour, safety concerns, and suspicious activity.
- Communicating clearly with supervisors, Security team members, Surveillance, and other departments.
- Responding to routine calls for service.
- Assisting with disruptive, intoxicated, or undesirable patrons when required.
- Supporting removals or refusals of entry under supervisor direction.
- Providing escorts for patrons or staff upon request.
- Responding to medical emergencies, security incidents, fire alarms, evacuations, and other emergency situations.
- Completing logs, notes, and incident reports accurately and professionally.
- Protecting confidential information.
- Following company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Supporting good occupational health and safety practices.
- Performing gaming security duties related to casino operations.
This role includes a mix of active and stationary duties. Candidates should be prepared for shifts that may involve standing or sitting at posts for extended periods, routine monitoring, walking patrols, and periods of repetitive but important work.

Education and Experience
Required or preferred qualifications include:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Minimum 1 year of customer service, public service, security, or related experience preferred.
- Security or gaming experience is an asset, but not required.
- Alberta Security Licence is an asset.
- Current First Aid/CPR C/AED certification is an asset, or must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office is an asset.
- Post-secondary education in Criminal Justice, Psychology, Sociology, Justice Studies, Social Work, or a related field is an asset.
Successful candidates must be able to complete all required regulatory and company training before or shortly after starting employment, including:
- Police Information Check, current within 90 days.
- ProTect.
- ProServe.
- Anti-Money Laundering training.
- AGLC Deal Us In.
- Any additional company or site-specific training required for the role.
