Position Description
The position of Finance & Insurance Manager consists of ensuring production of revenue for the dealership through sales of finance and insurance programs to new and used car and truck customers.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Sell finance and credit life, accident and health insurance to customers.
- Establish business contacts with financial sources and factory credit divisions.
- Coordinate approval from financial sources and factory credit divisions. Provide sales incentives for finance and insurance
- Train salesperson to sell financing
- Establish finance forecasting in conjunction with sales department forecasting to achieve a desire percent of penetration.
- Attend managers' meetings.
- Arrange for insurance companies for insurance paper.
- Maintain insurance files.
- Acquire necessary licenses for selling insurance on approval of General Manager. Prepare monthly penetration reports on finance penetration and submit to General Manager.
- Ensure correct title, lien information, taxes etc., on all transaction document. Provide all rate questions.
- Oversee collection of finance and insurance fees.Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- Ability to read and understand directions.
- College Degree or commensurate experience in area of finance.
- 1 year minimum prior F & I experience.
- Understanding of dealership finance and insurance procedures.
- Familiarity with dealership computer system.
- Excellent communication skills.
