Our Station Services Division is seeking an Intern, Station Services & Standards. The successful candidate will support the Station Services & Standards department on various tasks and initiatives involving data analysis, financial analysis, contract and vendor management, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform research, data analysis, financial analysis, vendor performance management, and ad-hoc analysis

Prepare and organize correspondence, perform data entry and word processing functions, and create various documents and presentations

Assist in the development and ongoing maintenance of a contract management system

Undertake internal and/or external data collection/research activities and analysing the assembled information

Prepare reports and/or formatting other supporting documents such as spreadsheets, business cases, and charts/graphics

Liaise with stakeholders in Station Services and other Metrolinx departments to collect information

Review, analyze, and recommend solutions to problems

Plan, organize, coordinate and manage daily assigned work

Provide administrative support to the Station Services & Standards team including meeting minutes and action items, data entry, invoice processing, filing, scanning, and other duties as assigned

Superior interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of staff from various departments and external vendors
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Excellent analytical, organizational, planning, time-management, and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and quickly learn and utilize new software financial and contract management applications
Flexibility, the ability to adapt to a changing environment, and a willingness to learn
Knowledge of or interest in transit services (e.g. operations, planning)
Experience with data analytics is considered an asset

Preference will be given to candidates with a demonstrated background in Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering and/or Finance/Accounting.
