Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating laser cutting machines to fabricate metal components according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes and the ability to read blueprints accurately. The Laser Operator will work closely with other team members to ensure high-quality production and adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate laser cutting machines, ensuring optimal performance and quality output.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine cutting requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance on laser equipment to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Utilize basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication.
- Assemble components as required, ensuring precision in fit and finish.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes.
- Use forklift safely for material handling within the manufacturing facility.
- Conduct quality checks using calipers and other measuring tools to ensure specifications are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Laser Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate machinery effectively.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding technical drawings.
- Math skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during operations.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
