We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in Calgary. The LPN will assist doctors during various medical procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and supporting clinical operations as well medical admin duties (answering phones/emails and booking patients for appointments.)
Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery
- Maintain sterile field throughout procedures
- Handle surgical instruments and equipment
- Proper cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of surgical equipment/Medical devices
- Provide support to the surgical team as needed
- Basic administrative tasks and duties
- Communicate effectively with patients and medical staff
Qualifications:
- Previous medical office, hospital or in a related role experience preferred
- LPN license. Would be a positive if candidate has previous experience as an MOA.
- Familiarity with Collaborative Health Records (CHR) system preferred
- At least 1 year of experience preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
