Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server and Bartender to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing exceptional guest service, preparing and serving food and beverages, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong communication skills, and experience in food service environments. Prior experience with POS systems is preferred. Responsibilities
- Take accurate orders from guests and relay them to kitchen staff
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, ensuring responsible alcohol service
- Operate POS systems efficiently for order entry, billing, and cash handling
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in both the dining area and bar area
- Manage guest inquiries professionally, providing excellent customer service
- Handle cash transactions accurately and balance cash register at shift end
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation procedures
- Assist in food preparation when necessary, supporting kitchen staff as needed
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, experience at a high end restaurant is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is preferred
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables and orders efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for billing and transactions accurately
- Experience in cashiering, serving, bartending, or hospitality roles is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and revenue
