Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Behaviour Interventionist to work with children with Autism in a childcare setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to inclusion and the ability to create engaging, supportive learning experiences tailored to the needs of each child.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for children with Autism that have been developed by the behavior consultant.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes social interaction and learning.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to support each child's development.
- Provide hands-on support and guidance during daily activities.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Vehicle is required as travel between centers is necessary.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children with Autism or special needs is preferred, but not required.
- Certification in Early Childhood Education welcomed but not required (ECE Wage Enhancement applies if you are ECE Certified)
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Drivers license and vehicle is required.
