Looking for an incredible summer experience? Arbour Lake Residents Association is seeking motivated, enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join us as Concession Attendants to work full-time throughout the summer. This position will begin June 2026 and will end in the start of September 2026. The Arbour Lake Seasonal Food and Beverage Concession Staff will be responsible for cash handling, preparing inventory and waste controls. Hours of work vary depending upon weather conditions and employees are expected to work day, afternoon and weekend shifts. This position involves standing for long periods of time and moderate lifting. Students are welcome to apply for this position. Please note that due to the short-term nature of this position, time off requests of more than 3 days will not be granted. Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Reporting to the Supervisors, the Concession Attendant is responsible for the operation of the concession stand, including scooping ice cream and preparing the Arbour Lake Residents Association’s menu items all while providing excellent customer service.
- Responsible for the cash register and processing payments effectively.
- Responsible for creating the items on the ALRA menu according to rules and regulations.
- Effectively responding to customer inquiries.
- Stocking, prepping, and cleaning as necessary.
- Completion of daily opening and closing duties as well as daily and weekly maintenance.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Experience in food preparation, knowledge and understanding of all Health and Safety Guidelines, and he ability to operate all cooking and food preparation equipment (fryers and grills) safely and effectively
- Upon successful hire, individuals will be required to have received certification in Safe Food Handling
- Attention to detail and organization skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Positive attitude
- Confident in high-stress situations
- Ability to work under pressure
- Satisfactory criminal background check
- CPR & First Aid Certification is required
- Experience using a POS system is an asset
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time
