Howe Sound Pharmacy is a locally-owned business that's been operating in Gibsons for 44 years . We are a professional team of nearly 20 people, including three Clinical Pharmacists, three Registered Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Assistants with certifications, skills and training in a wide range of specialties, automation and home-health.
Howe Sound Pharmacy Ltd is a long-time participant in University, Government and Industry-based Clinical Research, Community Pharmacy Residency rotations, a beta-site for new Pharmacy Technologies, an immersive training centre for Medication Management skills for practicing Pharmacists, and the Howe Sound Pharmacy clinical team tests and refines initiatives on an ongoing basis.

Howe Sound Pharmacy is looking for a Pharmacist to join our team! We are a privately-owned and award-winning drugstore, having won the Ben Gant award for Pharmacy innovation in providing better patient care, that provides high-quality prescription and non-prescription medications to our patients.
We are looking for a pharmacist who enjoys being part of the community and developing relationships with patients and customers. You will be working at the top of your license in prescribing, adapting, medication management and emergency refills to the patients in our community. These will include long-term care, a tertiary and community based mental health facilities as well as palliative care.
You will be working with tightknit dispensary team of three other pharmacists, pharmacy assistants and three registered pharmacy technicians. All with the goal of delivering better patient care.

Responsibilities:
- Work as a member of the pharmacy team providing great customer service
- Prepare and distribute medications to patients in a timely manner
- Gather patient information during drug therapy visits
- Use your experience in a customer service role to provide excellent customer service to our patients
- Communicate with patients and pharmacy staff regarding their needs, questions, and concerns
- Participate in training on different medications at your own time and location to ensure you are up to date with the latest medications in the field
- Perform inventory verification of medication stock and maintain pharmacy records
- Communicate with our management team to discuss patient needs and concerns
Desired Experience:
- Experience in a customer service or pharmacy setting providing high-quality customer service
- Experience in a healthcare environment providing high-quality patient care services
- Experience in a stockroom or pharmacist environment providing high-quality drug inventory control is preferred but not required
