Operator - Process - Alder Flats Plant
Spartan Delta Corp. is seeking an individual to fulfill the responsibilities of an Operator - Process - Alder Flats Plant in the Field Operations team. This role is responsible for performing daily operational checks to ensure Spartan’s equipment is operating at maximum efficiency with minimum down time in a safe and effective manner.
What You Will Do
- Keep shift logs up to date and review shift logs at the beginning of every shift
- Understand the permitting system and isolation procedures for equipment
- Maintain all lubrication systems ensuring correct lubricants are used
- Conduct plant site specific orientations as needed
- Understand the general principles of operating a cryogenic plant
- Maintain strong housekeeping practices to ensure a clean work area
- Assist in writing site specific operating procedures and start up procedures
- Participate in frequent Hazard and Risk Assessments to identify and mitigate risks in a dynamic operational environment
- Attend and participate in Health and Safety Meetings
Who You Are
- In-depth knowledge of production facilities including all areas of plant operations and storage facilities
- Minimum 2 years of oil and gas operating experience
- Fourth Class Power Engineering Certification
- Maintain all safety tickets and certifications
- SCADA and production entry experience
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Strong computer skills including Excel and Office Suite
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with ability to manage demanding workload
This position is based at the Alder Flats Cryogenic Gas Plant, located near Rocky Mountain House and Drayton Valley, AB. The work schedule follows a 7-days-on, 7-days-off rotation, with 12-hour shifts alternating between days and nights.
