Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Estimator to join our team. This role will focus primarily on waterworks and precast projects, working closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to provide accurate and timely project estimates.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates and bids for waterworks and precast projects
- Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Analyze tenders
- Source pricing from vendors and suppliers
- Communicate with contractors, engineers, and project managers
- Track and follow up on submitted quotes and bids
- Maintain organized records of estimates and project data
- Support the sales team with technical product knowledge
- Stay current on product lines, technical updates, and industry trends.
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
- Experience in estimating, preferably in waterworks, precast, or construction
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication, listening, negotiating and, phone skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- CAD experience would be an asset
- Knowledge of industry products and standards is an asset
- Attention to detail
