As the Junior Automation Support, you will be the front line contact between GNJ and our customers, you will work in a technical team with a variety of products and have the opportunity to learn from technical specialists with the latest automated material handling technology. You will be responsible to monitor the help desk and provide support to our customers. You will report to the Automation Operations Manager and assist the technical team by performing hardware and software testing.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, troubleshooting skills as well as be able to effectively manage their time while providing an exceptional customer service experience to our growing client base.

You will contribute to building our technological knowledge, support our growing customer base, and help build GNJ’s innovative solutions.
Building positive relationships with customers in resolving basic to intermediate issues
Performing hardware and software testing under the supervision
Preparing hardware and software while ensuring updates are current and operational
Receiving and shipping hardware
Participating in on-site implementations tasks such as vehicle uploads, basic software integration for PPG, iWAREHOUSE, VGV
Preparing other documentation as required
What You’ll Bring to the Table
An Engineering Degree or Technology Diploma in Electrical, Mechatronics, Systems Design or related program
1 to 2 years of experience with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC-5, SLC500, ControlLogix), HMI Programming, AutoCAD/Electrical Design, Debug/Testing/Commissioning
Electrical Design Experience is an asset
A proven self-starter who is motivated by solving complex challenges
Strong client-focused approach.
Works well with a variety of different people from diverse backgrounds
Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written
Motivated & passionate about working with people and overcoming challenges through collaboration and a win-win paradigm
An ability to travel; although this position is focused on local clients and minimal travel is required
