We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Criminal and Family Lawyer to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of criminal and family law matters. The criminal and family Lawyer will work closely with clients to navigate their legal issues while ensuring their rights and interests are protected.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and representation in criminal and family law cases.
- Draft legal documents and correspondence.
- Conduct thorough research on relevant laws and precedents to support case strategies.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in a professional manner.
- Maintain accurate records of case progress and client communications.
- Represent clients in court hearings and mediation sessions as required.
- Build strong relationships with clients by providing empathetic support throughout the legal process.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Ontario bar and active license to practice law.
- Proven experience in criminal and family law
- Strong skills in legal drafting, negotiation, writing, and research.
- Proficiency with legal research tools
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- A compassionate approach towards clients dealing with sensitive legal matters.
