Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Planning Engineer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing maintenance strategies to ensure the reliability and efficiency of industrial equipment. This role requires a strong background in mechanical engineering, industrial equipment, and continuous improvement methodologies. The Maintenance Planning Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance manufacturing processes, reduce downtime, and support lean manufacturing initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Acting as local key user for SAP-PM and the OPRA system
- Create and maintain plans for production equipment
- Planning and monitoring the performance and documentation of safety inspections on production equipment as stipulated by the safety department
- Checking that SAP-PM and OPRA are being used correctly (e.g. correct bookings, confirmations, purchase orders)
- Training the maintenance employees on how to use SAP-PM and OPRA
- Reporting of maintenance KPI’s
- Ensuring that the master data and documentation in SAP-PM/OPRA are correct
- Provide local support for SAP-PM/OPRA roll-outs
- Assisting the maintenance team with any questions regarding SAP-PM/OPRA
- Generating local maintenance related reports as required by the Maintenance Manager
- Internal and external coordination of planned maintenance activities
- Work in compliance with ESA and OSHA regulatory requirements
- Comply with all IATF, ISO 14001 and 45001 requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Experience
- Experience in manufacturing environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- 1-3 years of SAP-PM experience required
- 1-3 years of maintenance planning, scheduling and ordering preferred
- Computer knowledge, organization and strong leadership skillsProven experience in mechanical engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong background in industrial equipment maintenance
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Prior involvement in planning and executing maintenance strategies that improve operational efficiency.

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
