Current Opportunity:
TACC Construction Ltd. is seeking a well-rounded, long-term, full-time qualified and licensed Crawler Crane Operator, preferably living in the west end of the GTA. The successful candidate will be competitively compensated and responsible for various duties which include:
- operating crane to precisely lift, move, position or place equipment and materials in a timely manner.
- listening and carrying out instructions given from ground crew.
- performing pre-operational inspection and calculating crane capacities and weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting.
- inspecting machinery and equipment to make sure they function properly.
- following safety guidelines and protocols.
- reviewing a daily schedule and following specific instructions for loading items.
- identifying defective parts on malfunctioning cranes and following proper safety guidelines and procedures, reporting any potentially unsafe practices.
Qualifications:
Must haves:
- 339A License
- A valid drivers G license, own a vehicle, and willing to commute to and from work locations
- In-depth knowledge and practice of OSHA safety standards and precautions
- Good health and physical condition
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Works well independently and collaboratively on small or large-scale projects
Good to have:
- Experience in sewer or watermain projects
