JOB DESCRIPTION: The purpose of this position is to organize and lead the safe and successful completion of flat roofing projects ensuring that all work is of excellent quality and leak free.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate and supervise roofing crew.
- Lead by example in work ethic, quality workmanship, and serving your crew.
- Organize the project and prepare it for efficient installation.
- Communicate effectively with crew, clients, and consultants.
- Train employees to install roofs of high quality to the manufactured specifications and ARCA standards.
- Read, understand, and comply with all Epic Roofing and Exteriors Commercial safety policies; teach safe work practices; and conduct safety meetings.
- Coordinate starts and finishes for projects with office administration.
- Problem solves onsite issues in consultation with your Project Manager
- Ensure all installation equipment is properly utilized, inspected, and maintained.
- Execute proper project documentation with the use of notes and pictures.
- Maintain quality control through performing site inspections.
- Ensure company vehicle is kept clean and organized.

NECESSARY SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Skills:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Red Seal journeyman certification is a preferred asset.
- 5 years of experience in flat roofing
- 3 years of experience in supervising 2 or more workers
- Current knowledge on the use of new products and procedures for flat roofing systems
- Excellent organization, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Good record keeping and preparation of reports.
