Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Bakery Front Sales Person to join our team. In this role, you will be the welcoming face of our bakery, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a smooth sales process. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service, cash handling, and food safety, with a passion for creating a positive customer experience. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their selections in a courteous manner
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for accurate transactions and cash handling
- Prepare and serve baked goods and beverages, including barista-style drinks if applicable
- Manage food safety standards by handling food properly and maintaining cleanliness
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed to ensure fresh and appealing products
- Maintain organized displays and ensure product availability throughout the day
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, offering recommendations, and ensuring satisfaction
- Handle cash register operations accurately, including basic math for transactions and change-making
- Keep the front area clean, organized, and inviting for customers
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure efficient service
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food industry roles such as serving, barista work, or food preparation is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers
- Good time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor
- Prior experience in food service or serving roles is advantageous but not required
