Molecular Biology Laboratory Technologist II
Earliest start date: November 1st, 2024.
Length of contract: 1 year, with a possibility of extension, 1.0 FTE.
The position will be in a research group within the Molecular Medicine program under the supervision of Dr. Michal Koziarski, with a focus on machine learning-driven discovery of bioactive small molecules. The main goal of the group is development of machine learning-based pipelines utilizing generative models and active learning for efficient exploration of chemical space, and applications to the discovery of anti-aging interventions. We are looking for an outstanding candidate with expertise and interest in evaluating potential drugs that target hallmarks of aging (with a focus on cellular senescence), and aligned with the long-term goal of extending healthy human lifespan.

Here's What You Will Need:
- MSc in Molecular Biology- or Chemistry-related disciplines.
- Skills in molecular biology including cloning, cell culture, immunofluorescence staining and high-content data analysis.
- Experience in high-throughput chemical screens and early stage drug discovery.
- Quantitative skills in statistics, chemistry, biophysics.
- Demonstrated commitment to advancing and aiding in the pursuit of equity, diversity and inclusion objectives.
Assets:
- Familiarity with cellular senescence and associated screening protocols would be an advantage.
- Expertise with computer vision-based screening techniques, including working with image analysis software.
- Programming skills.
- Understanding of ML and/or chemical synthesis.
